Ice Cream Tuk

Planning a spectacular wedding or birthday celebration? Leeds entrepreneurs Scott and Bippin offer a unique service to make your event truly memorable. You can rent their charming ice cream cart stocked with kilograms of delicious ice cream. Guests can craft their personalised ice cream creations with various toppings, sprinkles, and sauces. It’s a fun, unique, and delicious addition to any party.

Ice Cream Tuk features a small Italian tuk-tuk (a compact vehicle) that travels across West Yorkshire, offering tasty desserts. The debut of Ice Cream Tuk was at Scott and Jenna’s wedding, where it delighted guests of all ages.

Scott and Bippin carefully developed their recipe, creating ice cream that is creamy, light, and incredibly tasty. Popular toppings include Kit Kat, Oreo cookies, and Cadbury flakes.

The rental cost for Ice Cream Tuk is £645 for two hours, including unlimited ice cream, toppings, and guest support within a 50-mile radius. Each additional hour costs £100. Vegan ice cream options are also available upon request.

The Milk Churn

Just six miles from Leeds city centre, in the picturesque village of Scarcroft, lies The Milk Churn, an authentic English dairy farm. This small family-run business has been producing the finest milk in West Yorkshire for over three generations. The farm embraces innovation, featuring robotic milking, automatic calf feeding, and sustainable practices, including using cow manure to generate electricity for the farm and café. They also collaborate with the Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust to maintain clean waterways, improving the local environment and preventing future flooding.

The Milk Churn is a popular family destination, offering a café that serves delicious ice cream made from high-quality milk and fresh cream. The owners proudly claim that they make the best Yorkshire ice cream, following traditional Italian recipes and using a variety of flavours.

The ice cream brand Tomoli is named after the next generation of the family, Thomas and Olivia, who will one day run the business. The owners honed their craft at the Carpigiani Gelato University in Bologna, Italy, applying their expertise to produce small batches of ice cream made with fresh ingredients, free of artificial colours or additives.

The café at The Milk Churn offers a range of classic and unique flavours, continuously expanding their menu to perfect the texture and taste. Tomoli has quickly earned a reputation for producing the “freshest and tastiest” ice cream in Leeds and beyond, with rave reviews from happy visitors.

Northern Bloc – NB°C

Over a decade ago, two passionate entrepreneurs decided to create ice cream with unique flavours. Northern Bloc’s founder and director, Dirk Mischendahl, was born in Australia but moved to England in his 20s, eventually settling in Leeds. After building a successful marketing business, Dirk sold his share in 2014 to pursue his dream. He bought an ice cream van, Sunshine Scoops, and began selling ice cream alongside 25-year-old Josh Lee. Initially, they made small batches overnight and sold them from their van during the day, using only high-quality, locally sourced ingredients from Leeds markets.

Facing the challenge of producing long-lasting ice cream without artificial ingredients, they partnered with Italian gelato master Manolo Imperatori. Together, they developed a unique formula that ensures Northern Bloc ice cream is smooth, scoopable straight from the freezer, and lower in fat and sugar.

Their growing popularity has led to increased demand, and Northern Bloc now supplies theatres, arts venues, and tourist attractions across the UK. You can find their products in supermarkets like Co-op, Ocado, Morrisons, Waitrose, and on Virgin Atlantic flights. Their vegan and plant-based ice creams have set a new standard, offering exceptional quality and flavour.

Popular options include Vanilla, Strawberry & Black Pepper, Chocolate & Sea Salt, and Grapefruit & Bergamot. With over 20 flavours, Northern Bloc has earned a devoted customer base who eagerly await new creations.
